We are not a roofing contractor, we never perform roofing work, and homeowners never pay us anything. Roofing contractors pay us for the homeowner requests we send them — that’s the whole business model.
The on-page estimate is an instant, general range calculated from your home size and roof material using Southern California industry price ranges — it is an orientation number, not a quote. When you submit your details, your project information (address, roof type, timeline, contact information) is passed to licensed roofing contractors serving your area so they can contact you with a real, no-obligation quote. We do not sell your information to marketing lists, and you can ask us to delete your request at any time by emailing info@getroofestimates.com. Our privacy policy and terms spell out the details.
Homeowners never pay us. Roofing contractors pay a referral fee for homeowner requests routed to them. That fee does not change the price a contractor quotes you, and nobody pays to be ranked or recommended in our guides.
Every roofing contractor in California must hold an active C-39 (Roofing) license from the Contractors State License Board and carry workers’ compensation insurance regardless of company size. We check license status at cslb.ca.gov before routing requests, and we recommend you do the same for any contractor you hire — our guides walk through exactly what to check.
Price ranges on this site are general Southern California industry estimates, reviewed against published contractor pricing and public data and updated periodically. They are never quotes. Where we publish original data — such as analysis of City of Los Angeles building-permit records — we state the source and method on the page so you can check our work.
